When it comes to the design of the Kootek Tactical Flashlight Knife K1, we have no complaints – the combination of black and green looks very attractive in our opinion, and also very professional.
With this gadget, you will be getting a strong LED flashlight, a blade with a partially serrated edge, and a glass breaker that can come in very handy in situations such as being trapped inside a car that’s sinking or burning or if you were to respond to an emergency of some kind. The gadget is designed to be used in three separate attachable pieces. For example, when you want to use the knife attachment, all you have to do is to simply screw it on and it is ready to be used. THE KNIFE
The blade of the Kootek Tactical Flashlight Knife K1 has been manufactured from aluminum alloy, which is, in our opinion, always a good choice when it comes to the blade material, as it is very sturdy and durable. During our testing period, the knife attachment proved to be very efficient and useful, and it’s one of the best things about this whole device.
THE FLASHLIGHT
The torch, on the other hand, produces a very intense beam of light as it has 800 lumens of lighting power, which was certainly more than we expected. There are three different levels of brightness here, allowing you to change them according to your need. They are strobe (for SOS situations), low beam, and the high beam. Like with all other tactical flashlights, the light on the Kootek Tactical Flashlight Knife K1 can be zoomed out or focused, which is very useful when you’re deep in the woods at night.
THE ATTACK HAMMER
The attack hammer on this item will serve you in cases of emergency, such as escaping from a car crash or protecting yourself from would-be attackers (although the knife attachment is much more useful in that case). Unfortunately, the attack hammer is the only part of this gadget that we didn’t like as much as the others and the reason behind this is the fact that it becomes dull after only a few uses.
Once you use it two or three times, it will look like it has already been used 15 or 20 times. We really hope that the Kootek will correct this mistake in the next revision of the device.
THE USB CHARGING
An overwhelming number of both the regular and the tactical flashlights are running on batteries that are either disposable or rechargeable. Fortunately, that is not the case with this multi-purpose tool – its flashlight can be easily charged via the included USB cable. This will allow you to charge the gadget while you’re on the road, at your home, or even in the office. This feature definitely deserves special praise, and we’d really like to see more USB-chargeable tactical flashlights in the future.
THE WARRANTY
Each of three parts of this multi-purpose tool comes with a 12-month warranty, which is quite sufficient and more than we had expected. It covers the device from cases of breakage and defects, although we think that you won’t need it as it looks pretty durable and could very well serve you for years to come.

Along with the device itself, you’ll also be getting the USB charging cord, as well as one 18650 battery. Unfortunately, an AC charger adapter is not included.
The Verdict
Even though it is not flawless, we can safely say that the people who are caving, camping, or just enjoying their outdoors adventures will certainly appreciate this well-designed device. The users can easily switch between the flashlight and the knife according to their need, adjusting the tool for the current situation without having to use three separate devices.
Our only major complaint about this device is the poor quality of its attack hammer, which, as we said, becomes dull after only a few uses. All other features are well-implemented and very useful – the knife is sharp and can help you cut the materials and defend yourself; the flashlight part has a very strong LED bulb that can illuminate a vast area in a second. And on top of all that, the whole gadget is made of aluminum alloy, which guarantees durability and sturdiness, and that can be of crucial importance when you’re venturing into remote areas.
The Kootek Tactical Flashlight Knife K1 definitely deserves our big recommendation, and we think that this multi-purpose tool is definitely worth the money.
