Everyone is trying to find a good way to use and carry their gear as effectively as possible whether for bugging out, on the field or the range. To resolve this issue, you can use a high-quality tactical vest. They are great for some law or military enforcement operations and also an excellent addition to your paintball or airsoft game gear.
The Condor tactical vest is one of the best on the market. We really liked its features and durable material of which it is made of. That is why we decided to write this comprehensive review and show every single detail that you need to know about this model before you purchase it.
So, without further ado, let’s dive in.
FEATURES
Materials and Construction
What we liked about this particular model are its durable material and great design. The great thing about it is its modularity. You can choose the placing and types of buckles, and any MOLLE PALS which you can also change out at any time for other purposes. These models don’t have huge chest rig expansions, but on the other hand that is good.
Let us explain this statement. In some situations, it would be wiser to have lighter and less gear to carry than to load yourself with some unnecessary stuff. When you are wearing this piece of gear you need to feel comfortable, and that is why you shouldn’t attach to many extra modules, cargo pockets, and pouches.
The condor tactical vest is made of 600D nylon material and you can find it in a few different colors. So, when it comes to comfort, design and durable material, we have to say that this product beats some other models of this kind. And we liked it mainly because it can withstand any situations and conditions you put it in.
Adjusting System
The adjusting system is fantastic because you can modify it to fit most users. It is excellent for tall people as this model is also wide. Thanks to this amazing advantage, we can say that it makes it one of the best products of this kind on the market today.
As for the belt size, you can fit it between 30 to 60 inches. That means it will suit almost every user who wants to wear it.
The best thing about this adjusting system is the fact that every PALS includes velcro to keep it organized and rolled down. They won’t hang down which is good news because hanging PALS can be very annoying in some situations. So, we must admit that when it comes to this fantastic system, manufacturers did think about every detail.
Belt Part and Braces
On the braces’ front part you will find 2 pals – 4,5 x 2,5 cm. You can use it as an admin panel module, personal wound dressing or as a small pocket. You will notice that when it was designed, the manufacturers wanted it to be made for the panel, but as we have mentioned already you can also use it for some other purposes as well. You will find a D-ring in the same braces’ part.
The fastex buckles are located at the braces’ top piece. On the other hand, you will notice some other buckles on this model, or to be precise, the swivel push-button ones. The manufacturers thought about making your days a bit better and gave you a little smile in the form of a fastex buckle which you will find on both sides of the belt part.
And to prevent the braces from moving when you are using and wearing it, there is a band that includes a velcro panel which is small and located on the back of one of them. The X shape which it makes will feel more comfortable and reliable.
The next feature that we liked is the sponge padding which is located on the inside of the shoulder straps, and it is secured with mesh. And thanks to this advantage your belts won’t move while you are wearing this product which means you will feel more comfortable. Although bear in mind that this could be affected by the weight of the gear you are carrying. But, some users reported that even after a heavy load, the vest didn’t move from its place. Speaking of load, we need to mention that the waist strap can be used to hold a dump pocket.
Front Panel
Magazine pouches are the most important thing about the front panel. You will find six single ones and on each top the shock cord to secure them, three double AK/M4 pouches in the middle of the front panel, two on each magazine pouch (the middle one includes for both pouches a single flap and side ones has individual flaps).
On both sides of the front panel there are 2 elastic straps where you can place things that are smaller like a hydration straw, pens, or light sticks. And on the bottom, you will notice three drainage holes to remove sand or water.
Also, let’s not forget to mention that there is a mesh pocket on the front panel’s back that is secured with a velcro patch. You can use it to place small things such as a tactical flashlight because this pouch is not large. But, on the other hand, it is a great addition to this model.
CONCLUSION
The Condor tactical vest is a bit expensive, but with that said, you get what you pay for. The buckles work well and are solid. The whole product is sewed great, including the MOLLE straps.
The loops for straps are durable and stiff as the velcro itself. So, if you choose this model, you will get one great piece of gear that will suit your needs and last a long time.
